my only major gripe about this event was the food. I have never spent so much on food before only to throw it away. the smoothie i had was disgusting...threw it away. the gyro i had...i took one bite and it was gross. and the chicken skewers was so fatty. thank goodness i wasn't camping because i would've starved all weekend. and it seemed like it was the same stuff in multiple places. i think bonnaroo should really look into getting better food options next year.

after a full day of traveling and then setting up without eating a meal... the corndog i had in centeroo the first night nearly made me have to smoke a cigarette afterward.
i only ate once a day or so (just wasn't hungry for some reason) and never came across anything so foul that it needed to be tossed out
i disagree. i never thought the food was great (well, actually, those bbq sandwiches at the main stage were). if you played your cards right, you could get some decent grub...(i mean things with vegetables that havent been fried).
i love the food at roo. we found this awesome hippy dude selling breakfast sandwiches every morining. they were great. i love the chicken on a stick. and its hit and miss on the 4 dollar pieces of pizza but everytime i got there they were pulling a fresh pepperoni out and i got massive slices every time.
I too loved the food at Roo, but the prices got pretty ugly in Centeroo.
I can't remember what stand it was, but I walked up to order a falafel or something and the guy tried to charge me $12.00 for the thing. I told him to go fu*k himself and walked away. That big sweaty rimjob was committing highway robbery! I ate a couple of those "breakfast bombers," which were the best deal in the house -- all the smoothies I had were really great also. Everything else was decent, but nothing all that notable.

We've always thought Bonnaroo had nothing but the finest in county fair cuisine. Those corn bread toasted cheese things rule. The chicken basket with fries was all you could eat. The meat skewers were tasty (some vegan looking girl made a face at us and asked "what's that?" and we told her it was baby seal...) I think there was a pretty broad variety of eats at typical prices (better than most any other concert venues). Superfly should make all venders clearly post their prices as we saw several try to gouge when they thought they could get away with it.
The massive turkey legs were awesome. After walking around all day, a turkey leg and some ale made me want to do a little jig, in an old timey sort of way.
I had a really terrible $10 burritto that I practically had to make myself. it was dripping a lot yet it tasted dry. I threw half of it away because no one wanted it. But I had a couple really good $4 slices of pizza, and there was a good looking $5 1/2lb burger at one of the tents near the What stage that I wanted to get but never was hungry enough.

We found an ice cream truck near our camp site...can't remember exactly where...but we bought Choco Tacos for 2 dollars a piece and that was the best deal I found on food the whole time.
Honestly, it really depends on what time you got the food. For example, I went to the seafood place off the main stage before Petty and got fried oysters. They were bland and the fries were awful. On Sunday afternoon, I went there before any sets started and got blackend shrimp and fried oysters again, and they were amazing. So good. Perfectly seasoned, high quality. Best meal I had all weekend in or out of Roo.
The food in Centeroo however....BLARF! That was some nastiness.
Amen to that. I got some Vegetable Lo Mein that consisted of a ton of substandard greasy-ass noodles with one broccoli, one mini corn, one corn kernel, and one pea.
On the good side were the corndogs, which were huge with fantastic breading. The falaffel, though a mite overpriced, was glorious after Radiohead. And the frozen lemonades were the unofficial mascot of my group, to be sure. Other than that, we ate at camp. I do very much wish I had been able to partake mroe in the unofficial side of things. 35 minutes from camp to Centeroo kinda screwed that up.

the food in centeroo was way overpriced and kind of not really good, but depending on how far you wanted to walk, there was some really awesome (and dirt cheap) food. There were these guys selling pancakes 3 for 2$, of course there were the grilled cheeses, jerry rolls 4$ i think, either way there was cheap food to be found, just not in centeroo
The only Centeroo food I bought throughout the weekend was the $4 pizza. Really I just had to eat 2 slices twice a day and I would be fine, so $16 a day for food isn't too bad. The $4 slices were a much better deal than the $3, way bigger!
The jerry roll guy was on 3rd Street right behind camp Ivan Drago. I walked by him a million times.
That guy is pretty cool, the dude with the huge curly fro. He usually brings his beautiful white bird with him, and he's at basically every show I've been to. His rolls though are kinda... eh.

The food could have been worse...
-The dollar grilled cheese is always great... But I never understood why they charge you an extra dollar if you get more than one.
-The $10 burrito thing in Centeroo was decent (I guess it depends what you get on it) but $10 is waaaaaay too much.
-The Chinese place by Centeroo was okay. I only got the sweet and sour chicken with rice, which I enjoyed while I was eating it (probably because I was starving at the time) but now that I'm thinking back on it, it had way too much breading and I get sick just thinking about it.
I also ate a chicken quesadilla someone sold me for $3 on the way to Centeroo. It was very good and reasonably filling. A great deal and probably the best thing I ate while I was there.

I had a couple of 'campground quesadillas and grilled cheeses' and they were excellent. I didn't try any of the vendor food, I'm not much of one to be buying food at these types of things. I made pasta everyday and pretty much lived off the food I brought down just fine.
There was a guy on shakedown selling wraps with grilled chicken, spinach, feta cheese and cran-raisins with some kind of honey mustard sauce. I ate like 3 of those they were excellent.
