coming from up north and not at all used to that direct sun, and heat. I think there should of been more shaded tents, more benches, and more misters..
on Sunday I headed out early thinking I'd just go and get coffee. I brought a blanket...I planned on having coffee picnic and then, go back to the site and wash up ect...Well, I ended up staying all afternoon and to my own stupidity I got really sunburned. I just think there should of been more shade. that's just my opinion:P
Yeah, it was actually more humid when we got back to PA yesterday, than at Bonnaroo. There were alot of mist tents, they weren't always working, but I think every pod had one.
I thought the heat was pretty dry too. I did experience some swelling in my forehead/and face from the sun, although I don't have any bad burns. I found that pretty weird, but the doctor said it happens. I thought what Bonnaroo provided by way of mist tents/shade was pretty good. No matter how much they add, it'll never accomodate everyone that would like to be in air conditioning and the shade.
It definately got better everyday, even though I got soaking wet during Phil Lesh (and I'm like a small wet dog when I get wet, it's very uncomfortable). I was miserable thursday morning, I fell asleep on the ground at about 9am next to our tent and woke up feeling like I was 120 degrees. I'm from michigan, so I'm not used to it either, but being part native american I didn't get any sunburn
