Computer monitor decided to take a crap on me last week at work. Come in this morning and get a 21.5 inch LED screen upgrade from my old 14 inch dull piece of shizz.
Yay for having Dave Maynar all to myself at my house next Mon-Thur! I'll have naked twister all setup and ready to go!
I enjoy that you phrase this in such a way that it sounds like we may actually cross paths considering I get up hours before you do and will be in bed before you get home from work.
P.S. It's a work trip with my boss in attendance so no hijinks.

Drinking, we should go out and do it.....
Reference my previous post about hijinks and my boss being there. I got to keep on the straight and narrow all week.
I've been having kind of a bummer of a day. I've started job hunting and received my first two "We don't even want to meet you letters" and I had to go for a follow up for my ENT. I've been doing this every 6 weeks for two years now and as it turns out it's been exactly two years. Two years ago I was diagnosed with cancer (again? WTF) and it turns out this is the anniversary of the surgery and I am still here! I've graduated to quarterly visits and 95% of all oral cancers that recur do so by 2 years.
I know there are at least a couple of other people here who can share this but seriously guys, don't waste your time on bullshit. We're all here for a lot less time than we imagine so don't waste it. If you love someone tell them, again and again and again (unless you're a stalker). If you need something ask for it. If your family is fucked up smile and talk about the weather like I do. Whenever you can avoid the people who are a pain in the ass. And in general help people, and have the best damn time you can.
Two years baby! Making cancer my bitch since 2006!

You know who is the best? custeph. It can't be said enough!
I had an agonizing long crappy weekend, but I return home to a package from our resident "cheer giver" that put a smile on my face. Thank you, Steph! See you in a month!

Thanks for the invite, Jess. I got away later than planned, so it looks like I'll be rolling into Nash around 8pm. Is that too late to join y'all?

Yea I goofed again. I have to get out of this thread. I am just usually so positive I am here usually. But on the upside: I just decided I am going to Costco tomorrow and buy kitchen stuff and I am going to teach the girls (and learn myself) how to cook. They are 5 and 9 and it will give them something to focus on. What ya think? cr****

I think that's a great idea. experiment a lot, cooking can be really fun! and it's a great activity to have the kids help with... my daughter is 13 now and she was able to plan, shop for, and prepare an entire meal on her own by age 10.

Yay! BRMC tonight with the husband! I've been excited for this show since it was announced months ago.
And, thinking about it this morning, I realized that 7 years ago, BRMC was also the very first concert me and my very soon-to-be husband went to together! Yeah, sappy, but neat to think about.

If you want to freak them out watch Master Chef junior (or something like that) my kids watched it and were in shock.

I did and that was somewhat of the impulse to help the girls. The MC kids were throwing around cooking terms and techniques I had to look up. They will also get focus eh? Win Win
Is this a yea post or a yikes post
What I am going to do and have to do in a little over the next month:
Plan, cook or buy, everything for my daughter's wedding (yikes). Really small but 30+ probably including one ex wife, and one ex gf. That's sort of funny.
I now will officially be old and that means if I want to do Medicare whatever and part a thru, b, thru, c, thru, d, thru infinity, I need to do paper work, registrations whatever, I have to do b4 the 21st Oct. I haven't had any medical insurance for a year and a half. If I would have stayed with my old job's plan, it would have by now cost me more than 10k but it was a crap shoot. A few of you know how in at least two incidents, I won but just fucking (Get) lucky. With the CR lolz or lack of one, I might have to put up with bumps in the road because of the Republicans and no Continuing Resolution. Things will probably be even more difficult.
Buy a new tent and camping stuff I trashed at other festivals so I have good stuff for NOLA. A 4 day drive back and forth, Halloween on Bourbon Street, and make and plan at least two costumes. . Drive to VooDoo. The last fest in 2013 for me and it's been a ride.
Buy tires for Suzy's car and get her vehicle ready for the drive.
See if after I get Medicare , go to the dentist b4 then. NOLA foods . Get some sort of sitter for Bonnie, Jimi and JJ.
Clean my gutters lolz.
To most? A lot of you, might say: Ya and a normal month for me. I have to just focus
So should I be in a good mood or a bad one . Life. Ill let ya know ... cr****
I paid off my student loan today! My loan wasn't much, but it's still one less bill I have to pay each month.
That is a yay! Live within your means/don't take a bunch of student loans was the best advice I didn't take. I think I've got about 14 years until the last of mine will be paid off.
I left my phone at home, forgot to put my wedding ring back on after exercising last night, slept terrible, should have paid more attention to what I was putting on this morning, & generally am in a funk today. But having lunch with o'neil made all of those things go to the back of my mind, thus making my day brighter & me happy. So YAY!! And, I now have awesome leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Sometimes it's those little things in life.
