It took me 7.5 hours but I have alphabetized my entire vinyl catalog No more wondering "Do I have that album?" No more discovering an awesome record I hadn't heard before then being completely unable to find it again! HOT damn it's a good day!
Ha, I started that last night. Only got 20-30 records in though before I crashed and needed sleep

Anytime someone mentions reorganizing their vinyl collection, I always think of this scene:

If your record collection is as large as mine, and I suspect it is, it is no small matter. The adjective "Herculean" comes to mind.

A former co-worker's daughter was born on July 4th at 29 weeks. She weighed 2 lb 6 oz at birth. On September 7th, he posted a picture of her first night sleeping at home, and she weighs over 6 lb now. I am really happy for the guy.
Today is my last day driving a minivan! I can't wait to stop driving like I'm in a bus and be able to parallel park again and not deal with finicky automatic doors!
You're mistaken. That is a GRRRR Thread statement jenny.
Speak for yourself!
I'm with you, we just replaced our last minivan with another minivan and people were all "Aren't you excited? Do you love it?" and I was like, It's a fucking minivan!
The YAY part is that my husband who knows the shit I've been going through at work etc. has informed me that I am required to go see Toubab Krewe on Thursday and presented me with a ticket.

What is replacing the minivan?
An itty bitty leetle Corolla. Black. I wanted red but they only had black. Henry cried this morning because it wasn't blue. I was like, dude, blue wasn't even an option. "But I wanted a bluuuuuuuue car. Waaaaah"

I'm afraid to ask how big your collection is. YIKES!

It's pretty respectable! I'm a record hoarder. Any time I see a yard sale I don't even bother leafing through the records to see what they got I just buy the whole box or boxes. I also have a working 1915 Victor Victrola Talking Machine and around 200 78's, I'm always keeping an eye out for 78's. I really really love records!
yay for birthday love from awesome friends, getting out of class an hour early, dinner tonight with G and the fam and Mumford tomorrow with custeph! so much goodness this week.

I have no idea why, but this morning I woke up facing my window and the very first thought I had was "It's a good day" (never happens). Hopefully that feeling lasts until after I finish my coffee and go to class.
Some dude paid me $300 to drive his car to Portland. Now I'm here in a house doing all my favorite Portland things and seeing my sister for the first time in months. Plus her dog bit me. 'Tis great.
You just missed me. Been looking up jobs in Portland in my field all day. I want to move there.
I had a convo last night about moving into my sister's boyfriend's unfinished backyard shed this winter. It's that good of a city haha. I saw your fest pics from here and it sounded like you had an incredible time. I'm glad ya liked the city and hope ya get to enjoy it again.
