Dave that pic didnt show up, so I manually copied the URL and pasted it in a new tab and my work filter blocked it saying it was Adult Pornography. WTF lol.

My work filter does that with every single image uploaded to imageshack since you can upload naked pictures to it. As cks said, it is a picture of Ashley Capps looking into the camera with soon. written at the bottom.
I just learned that my latest and greatest thesis draft didn't get completely sh*t on (as every other draft has). It is getting shipped out to my committee and we are finally scheduling a defense date. I think this is finally it; this M.S. degree is about to be in the bag. I'll be carpet bombing this page when the day finally comes. Stay tuned...

I finally get to post a yay!
I've been stressing over this huge audit at work for months. I've put in extra hard work and got the highest pre-audit scores ever in my branch. I've been sacrificing random office supplies to the audit gods these last couple of weeks to please allow our branch to be a virtual audit (which means no chance of an in-person audit and the end of all this work stress). My wish came true today. We were one of only 4 branches to be selected as a virtual audit. My work is essentially done for this project as my scores are nearly 100%. The auditor will only be talking to my director so I don't have to worry about being grilled on issues I don't have complete knowledge of since I've only been with the company 7 months.
Feels good to finally have a yay to share. This is the best news I've gotten in months...

Was very fortunate to meet three very awesome people tonight at Yep Roc 15: legendary musicians Robyn Hitchock and Nick Lowe and hilarious comedian (and Bonnaroo vet) Eugene Mirman:
No picture with Hitchcock; he was super nice, but he was in a sort of "artist only" area and I didn't want to bother him too much. Yay!
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG....I just got amazingly fantastic news!
My. Boss. Is. Retiring. YAY
Those of you who've heard me kvetch & whine about how she's always driving me (and my colleagues) nine kinds of crazy will understand my elation. The rest of you could probably care less, which is... yeah, totally fine. Just know that I'm doing a big-time happy dance in my chair right now. Hopefully the next 10 months until she departs will fly by & the new boss will be more inclined to give me the raise this one denied. And if I'm lucky, all the hair that's fallen outta my head from the stress she's caused will grow back, too. *fingers crossed* ;D

wowsers. Dancat is a HUGE fan of Robyn Hitchcock and Nick Lowe (I'm a Nick Lowe fanboy too).
I love you guys - and I'm already wishing it was brunch 2013.
On the way home from hooping class i was day dreaming about Bonnaroo next year. Ways to make it special for first timers and remembering the feeling I got when I drove in for the first time. The yells and seeing people hug with huge grins on their faces. I can. not. wait. for Bonnaroo and to see all you lovely people again!

Yet it is in this loneliness that the deepest activities begin. It is here that you discover act without motion, labor that is profound repose, vision in obscurity, and, beyond all desire, a fulfillment whose limits extend to infinity.

YAY for small miracles that save your sanity!!!
Good, good news! Yay, Holls!
That chair has been known to spill, when subjected to massive happys. Buckle in, lass, and celebrate.
Heading out to a day of fun with the family; miniature golf, dinner at Friendly's (really just an excuse for ice cream) and then sleeping with the fishes over at the Ripley's aquarium! Yay.

That sounds fun katbur. I always think of the scene from The Godfather when and if I ever hear the phrase "sleeps with the fishes". I'm guessing you mean something else?

I know, that's why it's been so much fun to say because we get it but the kids don't
We actually had a blast, we got to wander around the aquarium ourselves, see a dive show, hold a horseshoe crab, pet stingrays, have a lecture about shark attacks, make a cool halloween craft, have pizza and then sleep here....A lot more fun than I expected it to be, especially for $20 bucks a head.
We just got home from Amanda's final ultrasound. The tech didn't have one negative thing to say. My son is looking as healthy as possible. He will be between 7 and 8 pounds at birth. I am so excited! I can't wait to meet him in four weeks!
