Total cost for a day in a private hospital room with countless tests being run: $125. Not a copay or a down payment or whatever. My entire bill is $125.
Now if they could just figure out what is wrong...

So i just found out Bob Weir and Ratdog are playing the Woods at Fontanel (it is literally around the corner from my house and I can walk there!!), in September. I was SO bummed that I missed them at the Ryman in March because i was out of town, so this has made my day Anyone else going? I will probably be going alone.

I'm absolutely in love with the house, it's everything I want and new construction. Plus the location is ideal and perfect for my current job. AND there is a Taco Bell literally within walking distance!!!!!!!!
Crossing my fingers I can get in a contract before this weekend.
They accepted the offer!
The house is almost mine. Just gotta go forward with the inspections and such.

Our country seriously needs to see health care as a human right, and not as a privilege for those who can pay.
I managed to snag pit tickets for NMH for a good $25 less than what was being asked for back orchestra seats. Jeff Mangum is going to sweat on me and it's going to be glorious.
This also partially clears up my dreaded Friday clusterfuck before Kanye.

I'm finally able to get health insurance!!! After waiting for Healthy Indiana Plan get me off the waiting list and then dicking me around for months because I'm "self employed", I will finally get to have insurance as of June 1st. I've been without for seven long, expensive years.

It's been a while, but I'm happy for a lot of the things I've been able to do this year so far
-went on three different paid-for-by the school conferences to Baltimore, San Diego, and NYC -get to work the freshman summer orientation program, which includes free room and food -graduate in 7 months -bulked up my record collection quite a bit -have two jobs up at school for my last semester -have had my radio show for over a year
that's off the top of my head, life's just been dandy lately

I see that you are going to Brand New & Modest Mouse next weekend at Ommegang. Are you camping?
KD's Yay for today: Started building my "business basics for creatives" course and stopped procrastinating. I'm giving myself a little pat on the back for that one
My daddy has agreed to try some natural pharmaceuticals. Nothing to lose at this point. Step-siblings have all appointed me as the point person. I'm viewing this as a win, if only temporary. Time to put the chef hat on.
