i live in lexington, ky which you will probably pass through on the way to TN via I 75, but i can answer some of these for you
Prices - way cheaper. A 30 pack of bud/miller lite is 21.99+tax here (american dollars, but thats still way cheaper)
Times - vary by county and state here. The difference of a few miles can make the difference between being able to buy beer from 7 or 8am - 230am (i think liquor sales end at 1am?) and being in a "dry" county with no alcohol sales permitted any time. they may allow sales later, the further north you go, but i have no idea.
Vodka - if you want bottom rung vodka, you can get a 1.75L plastic bottle for around $11. You can buy beer pretty much anywhere in ky if that county allows sales (gas stations, NO NO WORD!!! stores, liquor stores, grocery stores) but you can only buy liquor and wine at liquor stores (and some NO NO WORD!!! stores like Rite Aid - which will also sell beer and many other things. Once you get into tennessee, i'm pretty sure grocery stores carry wine, but just remember to get boxed wine bc of the no glass rule
