Last year I brought a shower curtain, secured it to the upper frame of my EZ-up, and attached a couple heavy clamps to the bottom of it (for when it got windy). Worked marvelously as a sun-shade, and it was easy to move with the cheap plastic shower rings. Plus I think the icy mountain scene and the penguins helped me deal with the heat too
And yeah, it is definitely a good idea to have something to sleep on under the EZ up. Every day last year I would wake up sweltering in the tent, pop out onto my cot in the shade, and sleep a couple more hours in the cool breeze of a Bonnaroo morning.
