I really wasn't trying to spark a debate, it was a more general comment than that. It's my experience that the younger generations are much more likely to say "f*ck it" and give up than past generations.
..and I think Njed is more at issue with the fact that some stay together and never resolve their issues. It turns into economics, kids, and stability over happiness. Marriage should be a commitment, but sometimes it's hard to watch two people who can't even sleep in the bed.
