Yeah, you just have to convince Quinton to play. Surely giving him a lot of money will give him some motivation, right?
See, I think he may have just gotten worn down by a toxic environment at UNC. He had 4 different position coaches, multiple coordinators and head coaches, friends/teammates suspended, asked to play out of position, and he never complained or got in trouble. I think a change of scenery will be great for him.
And yeah, money can't hurt.
Rams are set to stock up on players, can't believe they picked up those extra picks like that. Jeff Fisher worked the draft like a speed bag last night.
When I saw the Jets take him, I actually said, "That's a great place for him if they can get their locker-room troubles settled out. Nobody knows how to get the best out of defensive players like Rex." He can step into a great system without too much pressure and have a lot of support, I think he'll surprise people merely by not busting.
Also, I complain a bit because it's not exactly a "sexy" pick, but we did need DT help, and lineman are Fischer's specialty, so if Fischer likes this guy, I guess I'm sold. I can't wait for tonight though, with all of these draft picks we can finally start to fill the holes and add depth. And with 2 first rounders for the next two years, we can add some elite talent as well.
It may not be for a few years, but I think the Rams are back in business.
