Question...? We rented a 28 foot class c...the company i rented it from informed me that the generator in the rv is a propane generator and would not last the weekend...so they rented me a gas generator as well...since the generator isn't internatl and not connected to the gas tank for the rv i'm assuming i'll have to fill it up over the coarse of the weekend...what's the best safest way to bring/store extra gas for the generator...thanks in advance!
They / you are correct. A propane generator will not last the weekend.
When we had our Honda EU3000 we would take it down with a full tank (3 gallons) and take a additional 10 (2-5 gallon cans). This would get us by for the weekend.
I think there is a limit of two 5 gallon gas containers?? Check the website.
Note, you will not be able to run this 24 hours a day with this amount of fuel.
Personally I would ask for a motorhome with one with a built in gas generator.. Reason is, hauling the generator and the extra containers for gas.
