Dave P and Making Time have been putting on great events for a while, but this is the first one i think deserves a whole thread. Such a great lineup in such a unique venue. Gonna be selling my Portola tix for this.
Haven't been to Philly since I was a kid. Is it best to find a place in central or are there specific spots to look at?
Last year you had to get yourself to a parking lot not too far from the airport and then they shuttle you to the venue. Maybe you could get dropped off at the entrance but that didn’t seem like what 95% of people were doing.

got an email about this yesterday. Never even heard of the site or the fest but it sounds cool. The website says they have $10 shuttle tix that go from the Barbary in fishtown. Do they do single days?

doubtful on single days but maybe closer to the date they'll release them. good to know they'll have shuttle tickets.

So just a thought. If you're not married to Sunday's lineup for this, you could do Saturday at this and Sunday at Firefly to catch Dua Lipa/Charli XCX/Girl Talk. Both fests have day passes and Firefly is only 1.5 hrs away.

If you're only interested in the fest and not doing anything in the city, you're best off with a hotel near the airport, since it's nearest to the venue. If you want to do some exploring I'd say look at AirBnB's south of Market, and the closer to Broad the better just for ease of public transportation (though you'd need an Uber or drive to the venue regardless). Fishtown and West Philly are fine areas with lots to do in them too.
